With its colorful graphics and animation, ZeniMax definitely delivered in this aspect. Ultimately, the game exceeded my expectations with fantasy, fighting, and fun. This evil character was illustrated as a colossal Daedric Prince with the diabolical plan to meld the plane of “Tamriel” to his realm, “Coldharbour”. Along with the copious amount of tasks I had in my quest journal, I enjoyed completing “The Harborage” and being introduced to the main antagonist, “Molag Bal”. Additionally, there are side quests and guilds to join such as: “The Fighters Guild” and “The Mages Guild”, which offer extra rewards and guild-specific titles. Each faction resides within different areas of “Tamriel” and has their own loyalties to their respective leaders. When you begin, there are three geographic factions to choose from: “The Ebonheart Pact”, “The Daggerfall Covenant”, and “The Aldmeri Dominion”. TESO did exactly that by including factions, guilds, and a comprehensive story line called, “The Harborage”. In an MMORPG, I feel there needs to be at least one hundred hours-worth of gameplay, a variety of quests, and a main story line that clearly opens up the world for you.

It took hours to battle through and complete one of the many explorable zones available and was ample indication that this game was money well spent. The map was massive and offered dozens of open areas, which meant there were plenty of places for my adventurer to discover. At this point, I was really able to grasp the immense scale of the game. Upon my completion of the “Wailing Prison” tutorial, I was thrusted into the world of “Tamriel”, the fantastical realm in which the game takes place. I appreciate when game developers offer tips and make it easier to get started. Keeping with the fashion of previous Elder Scrolls games, there was a straightforward tutorial that equipped the player with some basic essentials such as: beginner armor, starter weapons, and lock picks. When I first loaded the game and the emblematic song of Elder Scrolls resonated throughout the room, I knew that TESO was going to become my favorite pastime. Having played a number of Bethesda’s previous games, such as: Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and this year’s release of Doom, my anticipation was considerable. I held high expectations for this time-honored game filled with questing, dungeons, and lore, newly adapted for an online multiplayer experience and cooperation.
ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE REVIEWS PS4 SERIES
Produced by Bethesda and developed by ZeniMax, TESO was the first Elder Scrolls game in the series that combined MMO and RPG gameplay in an online group setting. The Elder Scrolls Online, or TESO, is a Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, or MMORPG, which went live on April 4 th, 2014. Gaming can be entertaining, foster creativity, and nurture the spirit of teamwork, and I discovered all of these qualities and more over the last year playing the video game, The Elder Scrolls Online. Although generally frowned upon by society, video games offer a vivid and viable option to escape daily routines and current physical or financial limitations. While our lives are made meaningful by friends, family, careers, and learning, we often seek out hobbies or pastimes that offer fantasy or a creative outlet.
